What are the procedures to schedule transportation from my house to my doctor's office?
The patient needs to have their case manager or private insurance company utilization department contact RR Transportation to arrange for the ride.
How would I cancel a scheduled transportation service?
Should there be a need to cancel transportation, we request that the patient or physician's office call us and cancel within 24 hrs of the scheduled appointment.
Is there a time frame in which I should schedule transportation rides?
Yes, all transportation services should be scheduled 48 hrs. prior to any scheduled appointments.
If my doctor prescribes medication, can the driver take me to the pharmacy before dropping me back off at home?
Yes, the driver will take you to the pharmacy to pick up your medication. You or your doctor must call in the prescription ahead of time and call our office to inform us that a prescription needs to be picked up.
Can I call my prescription to any pharmacy and have them picked up?
Your pharmacy of choice must be in route to your home.
Can I get a scheduled transportation ride for my child who is a minor?
All riders must be 18 yrs or older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult, family member or personal attendant.
Can I cancel just my pickup transportation?
Yes, a 24 hr notice for any cancellations still applies.
